Our mission is to ensure that all refugees held by or on behalf of the Australian government either on the mainland or

offshore are given the human rights to which they are entitled under international law.

Our mission will be achieved when refugees are no longer forced to remain in Papua New Guinea or Nauru where they

have few rights and an uncertain future, or on temporary visas in Australia. They should be resettled permanently in

Australia, New Zealand or another suitable country.

We call on the Australian government to:

  • Remove all refugees from Nauru and Papua New Guinea to safe settlement

  • Reunite refugee families

  • End detention in all its forms for refugee children and their families

  • Ensure families seeking asylum are held no longer than 72 hours to enable identity and health checks

  • Provide permanent protection visas for all refugees currently living in Australia on bridging or temporary protection visas.
